Help SGF 2016

The Help SGF app was the focus of Hack 4 Good 2016. This project is a collaboration with Annie Busch, a community leader who has been working on homelessness issues for eight years. For the dozens of Springfield Missouri groups and agencies that help the homeless, communication is a big challenge.

Purpose

To connect anyone in need of food, shelter, or transportation to nearby resources and to function as a communication tool to help nonprofits work together.

Download HelpSGF for iOS (App Store) or Android (Google Play).

Front-End Technologies

The web-based interface uses Umbraco.

The mobile app now uses Xamarin. View Source Code (GitHub).

The mobile app previously used React Native and Ionic. (Old Source Code) (Old TestFlight)

Back-End Technologies

The back-end web service is built on Umbraco CMS (Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL Server) and uses Algolia for Indexing/Searching
